Vote for your Flora Heart Hero

Why do you take part in the Flora Women's Mini Marathon? I do it every year to raise money for a charity that is close to my heart. This year I'll be doing it for Bodywhys. I also take part for the atmosphere on the BIG day, there's nothing like it in Dublin, it's incredible. I like to challenge myself and each year I try to beat my time from the previous year!

What makes you a Flora Heart Hero? I suffered with bulimia for a period of 10 years, definitely the toughest thing I've ever gone through. I put all my energy into it but after many years of counselling and help from organisations like Bodywhys, I've come out the other side. Now all my energy is focused on achieving all the things I've always wanted to do and making a go of getting into the career I had dreamt of but never had the self-belief to do it, TV presenting. Since I have been fully recovered I've always wanted to help others who are going through what I went through because it is such a lonely world when you have and eating disorder but I want them to know that they too can get over it.
